WHAT:

The average driver in the Riverside-San Bernardino area loses $3,360 annually as a result of driving on roads that are deteriorated, congested, and that lack some desirable safety features, according to a new report from TRIP, a national transportation research nonprofit based in Washington, DC.

Local speakers will join TRIP at a virtual news conference on Thursday to highlight the report’s findings. The report, “California Transportation by the Numbers: Providing a Modern, Sustainable Transportation System in the Golden State,” examines road and bridge conditions, congestion levels, traffic fatality rates, economic development and transportation funding statewide and in the Los Angeles, Riverside-San Bernardino, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco-Oakland and San Jose urban areas.
