The average driver in the Pueblo area loses nearly $1,600 annually as a result of driving on roads that are deteriorated, congested, and that lack some desirable safety features, according to a new report from TRIP, a national nonprofit transportation research group based in Washington, DC.
TRIP spokesperson Carolyn Bonifas Kelly will also be available via phone and Skype for interviews and comments.
The report, Colorado Transportation by the Numbers: Meeting the State’s Need for Safe, Smooth and Efficient Mobility, examines road and bridge conditions, congestion, economic development, highway safety, and transportation funding in Colorado. In addition to statewide information, the report contains regional data for the Colorado Springs, Denver, Northern Colorado, Grand Junction and Pueblo areas.
