WHAT:

The average driver in the Oklahoma City area loses $2,571 annually as a result of driving on roads that are deteriorated, congested, and that lack some desirable safety features, according to a new report from TRIP, a national transportation research nonprofit based in Washington, DC.

Local speakers will join TRIP at a virtual news conference on Wednesday to highlight the report’s findings. The report, “Oklahoma Transportation By The Numbers: Providing a Modern, Efficient Transportation Network in the Sooner State,” examines road and bridge conditions, congestion, economic development, highway safety, traffic congestions, and transportation funding statewide and in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa urban areas.
