WHAT:

Due to a significant transportation funding shortfall, Wyoming will be hampered in its ability to address the state’s top transportation priorities and will lead to a decline in the condition of Wyoming’s state-maintained roads and bridges. This is according to a new report from TRIP, a national transportation research nonprofit based in Washington, DC.

The TRIP report, titled “Keeping Wyoming Mobile: The most needed improvements to provide a safe, reliable, well-maintained transportation system in the Equality State,” examines road and bridge conditions, traffic safety and funding needs in the state and identifies the 25 most needed transportation projects in the state, many of which lack sufficient funding to proceed.

Local speakers will join TRIP at a virtual news conference on Wednesday to highlight the findings of the report.
